Children's Ministry
Children's Ministry Statement of Purpose

Believing that Children's Ministry exists to partner with parents in the spiritual education of their children, our goal is to teach the foundations of the Christian faith, and to show children how to apply them in their lives.  The Children's Ministry at Covenant exists to bring honor to God by:

1. Introducing children to Jesus - EVANGELISM.  We want all children to be able to experience Jesus' love for them and in the process discover the excitement, joy and peace that comes from living a life with Jesus as their Savior and Lord.

2. Making church a fun and exciting place to be with God's family – FELLOWSHIP.  We believe in building honest  relationships that lead to friendships of mutual encouragement that help our children achieve their best.

3. Helping each child to grow spiritually – DISCIPLESHIP.  We strive to teach the  Bible so that it is relevant (drama, music, transferring Bible stories to relate to children in our generation) and present Christ in clear and creative ways that impact and transform lives. We want all children to find success in becoming all that God wants them to be.

4. Encouraging children to serve others – MINISTRY.  We believe in teamwork.   The key to effective ministry and the fulfillment of God's plans is the wholehearted involvement of every person.  We desire to invest our lives and resources in our children, keeping our ministry to them a priority.

5. Giving children opportunities to express their worship to God – WORSHIP.  We want to give children opportunities to start and grow in their relationship with God.  Sunday Worship brings  together all the other aspects of Children's Ministry.  We strive to offer activities during worship that involve children and help them interact with each other and with teachers in prayer, in singing praise to God and hearing His Word.

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19: 13, 14)
